Hi,

Delayed periods can happen with PCOS but because you had weight loss and appetite I would recommend you to have a TSH and FT4 test done to rule out coexistence of thyroid problems. Even though pregnancy is very less likely in your case it is recommended to have a pregnancy test as it is an easy test and rule out one of the most common causes of delayed periods, the pregnancy.

If the above tests come out normal then thyroid and pregnancy are not the cause of delayed periods and PCOS is the likely cause.

To have your periods back you can have combined oral contraception for 3-6 months.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
