HI. I've been trying to conceive for a while now. I haven't had a period for a month. I have a little cramping every now and then, but still no period. I've taken a pregnancy test and it was negative. All I want to do is sleep. When I am up all i want to do is eat and right after i eat i feel queasy. I don't know what's going on..????
Hello and welcome to HCM, For successful conception, atleast one year of unprotected sex is required. If conception does not take place even after one year of unprotected intercourse, you should seek medical help. A urine pregnancy test becomes positive 11-14 days after conception so you can take this test to confirm pregnancy. You have mentioned that you are experiencing irregular menstrual cycles or delayed cycles. Irregular menstrual cycles or delayed cycles can occur due to hormonal imbalance most commonly. I would suggest you to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment and investigations if required. An endometrial biopsy/ curretting may be required to see the status of the endometrium.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
