What Causes Delayed Periods With Abdominal Pain?

Hi doctor I had unprotected sex in previous month and i took emergency contraceptive pill after that so I got my periods on 23rd of June it was light in comparison to my regular periods but it lasted for almost 12 days and then on 11th of July I had some brown spotting and now my date for period is due and I m having abdominal pain too.

Here you have history of unprotected sexual intercourse ...
You had taken emergency pill but many factors can affect its efficacy and sometime might not be 100% effective ...

As you have delayed period pregnancy has to be ruled out ...
For that urine Hcg estimation card can be used which comes positive seven to ten days of delayed period if conception occurred ...

USG also needs to be done that will rule out PID like infective etiology if present...
Your pelvic examination also needs to be done

Excess stress sometime can lead delayed period

Take care

Advise : gynecologist consultation for examination...
