Hello doctor... I m 21 yrs old... I had my last periods on 6th September after taking meprate and progynova... But then doctor recommended me to take cabgolin, thyronorm and dronis 30... I had my last tablet of dronis 30 on Sunday... Still have no period as it has been 4 days stopping dronis 30... What to do??
Hello, cabergolin is given to reduce prolactin secretion, which if high in concentration, can cause irregular menstruation. Hst the prolactin level being checked? Normal levels in non pregnant females is 2 - 29 ng/ml. Similarly if one has hypothyroidism and TSH level is not brought down to 3 to 4 mU/L with thyroxine treatment, then irregular menstruation invariably continues. So please check those. Thanks
