Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Am 30yrs old. Am married 3months back. WE are planning for the first Baby. My LMP was 07.09.2016. I have done urine test and it shows negative.so I tested beta hcg it also less than 1. But I have missed periods and some symptoms I would like to know whether it is due to any problem or it is normal
An serum beta hCG level of less than 5 mIU/ml is considered negative for pregnancy & anything above 25mIU/ml is considered positive for pregnancy.
Apart from pregnancy certain other conditions like hormonal imbalance, emotional upset, stress, change in dietary habits, certain hormonal disorders like hypothyroidism, diseases of the ovaries or uterus can also delayed the periods.
Consult a gynecologist for proper evaluation and certain lab tests to rule out the above mentioned conditions followed by the treatment accordingly.
Hope this answers your query.
