What Causes Delayed Periods?

Hello dr I m a lady aged 36 yrs havng 2 kids . 8 yrs daughter n 4 yrs son. Both were by c sec. After my son delivery, i immed got family planning operation done. My last menstrual cycle was in may 25th. After which i hvnt gt my periods. Normally my periods get delayed around 45 days too.

Hi I think you should do a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy first. Sometimes tube ligation fails.So, better to rule it out. If negative, get a thyroid profile and prolactin level and a ultrasound done to see uterus and ovaries to find out the cause of irregular periods. You may be having hormonal imbalances. Hope it helps.
