What Causes Delayed Periods?

My period is late and im starting to worry. I have very irregular periods. They usually start at the end of every month and drag into the next month. I have taken tests and i m not pregnant. I am 8 days late. My usual period symtpoms have just occured yesterday. What is wrong with me? Why haven t I started?

Irregular periods suggest severe anemia, psychological stress ,hormonal imbalance ( tbyroid,ovarian problem , pcod or uterine problem like fibroid uterus.
A through gynecological examination/ investigations would pin point the cause .. followed by specific treatment to correct the problem.
Consult your gynecologist.
