Hi doctor have a great day.. iam from riyadh and iam a filipina.. i just want to ask questions regarding my condition.. my period now is delayed.. i have 42 days cycle and i know its too long.. my last menstration was october 4,2017 and i know that i will have my period this november 14 but it doesnt come.. i also feel some crampings in my stomach until my back.. and when after intercorse doctor there is a pinkish or redish light blood coming out for twice but in the third time we had sex its only brownish color and its very very light.. i took the pregnancy test on november 18 but it comes out negative.. what does this mean doctor? Am i pregnant or no?
1. since UPT is negative so it is best to seek suggestion to know why you have missed your periods [since it can be upsetting and confusing when your period is late and there are no positive signs of pregnancy], a Gynecologist would be ideal to consult, for appropriate examination/investigations.
2. stress which disrupts the ovulation causes your body to secrete more cortisol which delays or stops ovulation altogether causing irregular periods and also, a diet low in fiber and high in saturated fats can cause irregular periods, likewise low thyroid [hypothyroidism] can also cause the same, so check with your Doctor.
PS. suffering from PCOD and having a high level of hormone prolactin can also delay period.
