Hello doctor good morning, I hve question regarding my period haven’t come yet. Dec.17 was my expecting due date. Now it’s ddc.28. I had sex last nov.27 just once and my bf withdrew it. And I do the test 2 times it shows negative. What does it mean?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
There may be several causes for delayed periods. But right now if you want to rule out pregnancy, one of the test is obviously urine pregnancy test, which you have done twice and it shows negative. But urine pregnancy test cannot conclude 100%. One of the definitive diagnostic test of pregnancy is ultrasonography scan. I suggest you to consult a gynecologist and get a USG scan which will tell conclusively whether you are pregnant or not. If not pregnant other causes like poly-cystic ovary, thyroid disorder, hormonal imbalance etc has to be ruled out, which the gynecologist may examine you and evaluate properly.
Regards,
Dr Sanjay Kini
