What Causes Dent In The Head Injury Spot After 7 Years?

About 7 years ago i hit my head in the edge of a door... it resulted in a broken tooth and bleeding in the area of the injury. It hurt like hell.
The problem is, i never checked up on it. Now, 7 years later, i have a dent where i hit my head. Is it normal? Should i check up on it after such a long time?

Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. Now remember one thing, there is no need to worry at all.

It is a kind of head injury like depressed fracture or pond fracture (in children). The head injury which occurred 7 years back, had caused the dent at time only. But it went unnoticed due to swelling and pain at that time. Now that after 7 years, you have finally felt it. It is good and normal.

There is no need for check up as you are asymptomatic. In case of symptoms like persistent headache at dent site or increase in size of dent, only then there is need for check up.

Thanks. Hope it will help you. Thanks.
