Dent in the top of head with headache, decrease in headache when the dents reduces in size can be due to overgrowth of blood vessels in the area you mentioned. When the pressure increases you are getting the headache as the local pressure might be causing an actual pain.
Consult a Surgeon to get the proper clinical examination of the local part like palpation to see for reducibility, consistency like soft or hard, any local skin problem and so on. If the lump is suspected not to be due to common cause like sebaceous cyst or lipoma then contrast enhanced CT scan or MRA of the affected area can help to confirm the diagnosis hence a proper management can be undertaken to solve your problems.
