What Causes Depression And Weight Gain When On Primolut?

Recently my doctor prescribed me primolut nor (2pills per day for 7 days in total) since he diagnosed secondary amenorhhea. I have already taken the recommended pills (the last was 3 days ago) however without results yet (period). The worst thing is that i fell awful, depressed, and I have already gained 2kg ( do you gain weight with primolut nor? shall my weight return back to normal when and if period appears?) . Do I have an other option for secondary amenorhhea (pill?) which will not affect me in this way? It s hard to work and see yourself becoming somebody else only just for you to gain your lost period.
