What Causes Detachment From Reality, Thoughts Of Fainting And Negative Feeling?

I was told I have anxiety does these storms sound about right for anxiety feel short of breat and detachment from reality feeling and thoughts of fainting when I go into public or around groups of people negative thought like I'm going to die always thinking the worse

I can understand your concern. The symptoms like shortness of breath, detachment from reality, thoughts of fainting while going to public place or to a group of people etc occur in anxiety. Fear to go into public places or group of people can be seen in agoraphobia or these symptoms also have similarity with social phobia. In my opinion you should consult a psychiatrist for proper opinion and evaluation. Medicines like SSRIs are commonly used in anxiety and panic symptoms. These medicines reduce the fear and anxiety. Drugs as Sertraline, Paroxetine, Fluoxetine etc are commonly used. Apart from this relaxation exercises, behaviour therapy, yoga etc will help to reduce the symptoms of anxiety and panic. Please visit a psychiatrist for prescription of these drugs.
