What Causes Detachment Of Fingernails From Nail Beds?

Ok, I m trying to figure out why my finger nails are separating from the nail beds. I have sjogrins syndrome and pernio chilblains. Is this a related issue or a new issue? I saw a dermatologists and he said there s nothing I can do. I m basically losing my nails because I m cutting them shorter and shorter.

Hi,

I cannot say in your particular case and lack of nutrient flows or fungal infection are nearly all the possibilities. Fungal infection would be obvious. Nutrient flow includes, circulation problems such as Raynaud's, starvation, protein loss with a very bad bowel disturbance with essentially a starvation of protein, vitamin deficiencies, oxygen deficiency.
