What Causes Diaraha And Cold Toes?

Yes, please!!! I have been diagnosed with IBS. But, I don t think that s it our just that. I do not eat meat, milk, cheese, very few dairy, few white/any breads, limited pasta & potatoes, very limited deserts or sweets. I may have an occasional wine glass, drink lotsa h2o, few sodas. However, it seems that for the past 10-12 years, every 2-3 months I get spontaneous diaraha, extremely cold toes. Don t eat because of diaraha, try few crackers. Drink Gatorade/h2o. Of course get weak, can t sleep well. What is happening, what can I do to change/correct this. Help please!!!!!!!! cj

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to irritable bowel syndrome. I recommend using over the counter option like Imodium to stop diarrhea. I also recommend using daily probiotics. You should eat a planned diet and avoid food that can trigger the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
