What Causes Diarrhea After Drinking Gatorade?

I ve been drinking Gatorade this past week (8 bottles/week while taking coumadin & potassium, among 6-7 meds for congestive heart failure, stroke & BPH. This morning I had diarrhea all morning. Have I been drinking too much gatorade? This hasn t been a problem so much in the past. I ve been drinking gatorade as I ve been working out more-I think I ll discontinue.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Gatorade is energy drink having electrolytes.
It can not cause diarrhea.
So I don't think your diarrhoea is due to Gatorade.
Possibility of some food infection is more likely.
So drink plenty of fluids orally.
Avoid outside food. Avoid uncooked food.
Take oral rehydration solution (ORS) and zinc tablet.
Eat more curd and yogurt.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
