Hello, My husband has puchesed some eggs from a co-worker that is feeding natual foods as well as not washing or refrigerating them. SO I rasied chikens when I was young and know you have to refrig them, expecially in az summers. So we refrig them. However, I cracked some spoiled ones the other day. We boiled and started to eat the rest. We cut into them to make sure they looked ok. So now we both received diareria. I am on my second day and have have about 7 watery, and what I have seen pictures of bile and some mucus ad nothing that looks anything like feces i have ever seen. Should I be concerned?
It could be gastroenteritis. It is a self-limiting condition and will settle by it without any complications.
As of now, no definite treatment is required. If he develops symptoms like fever or blood in the stool, we have to be cautious and antibiotics may be required in that case.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
