Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I experience stomach cramps after I eat which leads to me immediately needing to have diarrhea or vomit. I also get these symptoms sometimes when I m cold. I had an ultrasound after not eating for 12 hours and no problem was detected but the symptoms don t occur very often without the presence of some foods. After taking Zantac or Prilosec I still had the urge to use the restroom. Please help!
Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having diarrhea after eating food which seems to be due to food intolerance and irritable bowel syndrome. The most dangerous complication of diarrhea is dehydration. Oral rehydration solution is best for this purpose. You should keep your head elevated while lying down. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order stool test, endoscopy along with that take history and will prescribe medications accordingly. You should eat light and non spicy.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
