Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
took clindamycin 2 yrs ago and got dioahorrea so stopp[ed immediately. i ve had loose bopwel movements ever since. i ve been taking metformin for 4 yrrs (which; can cause diahorrea)|. can clindamycin increase ur sensitivity to other potentially diahorrea causing substances?
I shall make an effort to provide you with good professional recommendations specific to your questions.
Clindamycin can cause diarrhea, but I dont think the drug that you had taken two year back has anything to do with present diarrhea, nor it has anything to sensitize the present drug. Metformin causes diarrhea, it usually fades away with time and i dont think it requires 4 years. Your present symptom requires to be evaluated, so i advice to visit doctor for examination.
Yet again, I duly appreciate your query to me, I do hope that you have found something useful to help you and I shall be glad to answer any further apprehensions.
Sincerely,
I find this answer helpful
