General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

As you inferred, it is not common to have frequent repeated episodes of diarrhea and vomiting due to infection.

There are other causes such as-- (1)side effect of medication
(2)thyroid disease
(3)irritable bowel syndrome
(4)inflammatory bowel disease
(5)food intolerance
(6)diverticulitis

You may need to be assessed by your doctor to find a cause. This would involve blood tests and possibly imaging of the intestines

I hope this helps
