Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had daily diarrhea for the past 2 months but my stomach is swollen as though I was pregnant. I m 4 11 tall so my extended stomach really shows. I haven t been out of the country but do live on the USA/Mexican border where a lot of produce comes from. I am a stay at home person and have very little contact with others. I don t really have any cramping or pain. My blood pressure hasn t changed.
Start drinking oral rehydration solution (prepared by dissolving WHO approved ORS in one liter of drinking water) instead of consuming plain water. Take capsule omeprazole in an empty stomach (one hour before or two hours after a meal). Avoid spicy and heavy to digest foods. Take curd or buttermilk with food. Drink coffee. Eat fruit like banana or pomegranate.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Hiren Hirpara
