What Causes Diarrhea And Abnormal Abdominal X-ray?
just went to the doctor after experiancing a 2 week bout of chronic diarreah . he took an x-ray of my chest and abdomen and said there was an abnormality below my diaphram . He said looking at the x-ray there was an abnormal position between the two sides , He said there was something pushing one side up, I did take 2 cat scans and waiting for the results. I have not idea what this could be causing this?
Hello, Without seeing the xray it is hard to know what the physician may be referring to. There is typical hemi-diaphragm elevation on the right side more than the left due to the livers position on the right side of the body. If you have had any injury to nerves which supply the diaphragm , it can cause loss of muscle activity which would cause the diaphragm to elevate. likely the xray findings do not correlate with your diarrhea.
