What Causes Diarrhea And Black Stool?

My Mom has diarreah and her stools are black. Started yesterday she does have colities but is fighting the superbug and has a thick line in her. Shes had it 5 days with 6 more to go. She wont eat today and I believe shes dehydrated her kidney fuction is 22 percent and she cant walk today and her shoulders are so, She took a pain pill and is in bed now, i dont know what to do

Diarrhea and black stools could be due to colitis.

Black stools suggest blood in stools.

I suggest you get a stool examination.

Since she has colitis, consultation with a gastroenterologist and colonoscopy are also required.

Regarding reduced renal functions, the renal functions can be improved after treatment of the underlying condition.
