General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
hi, Thanks for the query understand your concern. * Diarrhea can cause high WBC count because of - The infection causes diarrhea which sets in immune response of inflammation in bowels ..this also results with mucus in stools - In cases of dehydration following diarrhea, blood volume goes down & there is comparative increase in WBC count * Prolonged & frequent diarrhea causing frequent antibiotic intake and also weak digestion ... leading to nutritional deficiencies , low resistance resulting in frequent boils on face * Constant mucus in stools indicates a chronic digestive issue ( chronic amebiasis/ irritable bowel syndrome, food allergies etc, ).& needs Gastroenterologist's consultation & specific treatment for finding permanent cure for all problems. .
