My grand daughter is 18 months old. She has had diarrhea for 2 weeks. She pulls at your diaper and is obviously uncomfortable and irratated. Has rash on bottom and front. She was tested for uti, negative. Low grade fever off and on. Is this more than teething issues as the pediatrician suggests

Hello,

Two weeks of diarrhea us more than teething. A stool culture should be done to check for intestinal infection.

Also, wash her with gentle soap after cleaning and dry well. You can use a zinc oxide ointment for some days till rash improves.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
