What Causes Diarrhea And Mucus In Stool Post Colon Resection?
I m 34 year old female. Dec 14 had a colon resection due to diverticulitis. Jan 15 had gallbladder removed. Now having mucous in stool almost daily along with bad diarrhea at least once a week. I m concerned with the mucous. Should I be having this problem?

You should not worry about the mucus and diarrhea as this may be due to non virulent micro-organism within the colon. You can take tab Septrin as a prophylaxis.
