MY husband has had a colon resection, is taking Xeloda for colorectal cancer, he does not have diarhrea, but is experiencing spasms in the rectum and anus. This sends hm to the toilet but often there is nothing to eliminate. The spasms occur quite often and take a lot of his energy. Is there any medication for this problem?
