What Causes Diarrhea And Red Colored Bowel Movements?
My mother was hospitalized in Feb 2015 for Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage and acute duodenal Ulcer with Hemorrhage. She is 89 years of age. Just yesterday she move her bowls and it came out dark red, very soft and runny and pressure when coming out. Today she moved her bowls and there was signs of blood except bright red. My concern is that she is hemorrhaging again, what should I do ?

Yes, possibility of Upper GI (gastrointestinal) bleeding from duodenal ulcer is more likely.
Upper GI bleed can recur after 10-12 months.
So first get done stool microscopic examination for occult blood.
If stool is positive for blood then she will need upper GI scopy to treat recurrent duodenal ulcers.
