Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Diarrhea And Stomach Cramps Before Defection?
I have had intermittent watery diahorrea for 2 days. Slightly cramping mains which come when a motion is required, subsiding after I have been to the toilet. No blood in the stools or in the liquid content of the motion. I am wondering how long to delay consulting a doctor or, is it safe to wait a few more days. I do not feel particularly I ll and have increased my fluid intake
I would like to give some tests: 1. Complete Blood Count 2. Stool test and culture
I would like to ask you: 1. Was it occur after any food? 2. Is there any burning sensation in rectal canal? 3. Have you notice the color of the stool? 4. Is there flatulence? 5. Any medication you are on? 6. Is the stool hard?
Please take a good healthy diet. If stool hard, please take some laxatives. Take diet at fixed right time. Do not have oily and spicy foods.
These answers are crucial to making a diagnosis. Along with these, please post the test results which will guide any doctor to take the next steps.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
