What Causes Diarrhea And Vaginal Yeast Infection?

Hello, I ve had diarrhea for about two weeks now off and on and I m battling a vaginal yeast infection as well as several red bumps on the skin around my anus. Using Preperation H cream has helped ease the pain/itchiness but I cannot tell if the bumps are from diarrhea or from my yeast infection as I ve heard that it can spread to other areas. There is no one large bump that I can directly label a hemorrhoid but perhaps it s just a rash?

Hello,

The symptoms are more consistent with infective causes like yeast or bacterial vaginosis. Consult a gynaecologist and plan for a vaginal swab to confirm the diagnosis. As of now, you can use clotrimazole lotion to cleanse your genitals.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
