General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is likely due to gastroenteritis which is infection/ inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract.

This can be due to viral or bacterial infection, viral infection is more common.

It is mainly treated by fluids to prevent and/or treat dehydration.

In addition the use of probiotics may help the infection to resolve.

If you are still having symptoms then it would be best to avoid solid foods for now.
They can be restarted when there is a 4 to 6 hour period with no symptoms.

At this time bland, dry foods can be started.

I hope this helps
