Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, my girlfriend woke up yesterday with a serious bout of diarrhea, causing her to go to the bathroom at least 9-10 times. She even vomited once while on the toilet. She stayed home from work and I took care of her, a teledoc prescribed zofram for nausea and probiotics for digestion. She started feeling better last night except for a real bad headache, and now this morning she had soft stools but no diarrhea, but is complaining of pain in her right side and the smell of food makes her nauseous. I am hoping it in not pancreatic related or severe in any way. Have any idea? Oh she we also had homemade chicken fried rice two nights ago and had what I think was too much soy sauce which I know is shit for your diet. I am just hoping she upset her bowels by eating food that is not really digestible on the body. Thanks Doc!
Need not to worry. You should take plenty of fluids. I would suggest you consult a gastroenterologist for proper examination. The doctor may order a test like stool test, endoscopy, ultrasound and take a history. The doctor may prescribe omeprazole, ornidazole, albendazole, laxative along with the antiemetic drug. For now, eat light and non-spicy and take antacid after every meal and take a light walk after every meal.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
