General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the condition with severe stomach cramps, diarrhea following return from cruise indicate intestine infection with E.Coli bacteria and altering intestine fluid electrolyte balance through chloride and water levels.

It is recommended to consult your doc for primary evaluation, correction of fluid electrolyte imbalance and necessary probiotics, gut specific antibiotics in selected cases.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
