What Causes Diarrhea, Vomiting And Dizziness With Stomach Pain?
Hi there, My husband woke up from a nap in the afternoon with diarrhea, vomiting and dizziness. This lasted into the night - maybe 12 hours. He was hot and cold and complained of stomach pain. He thought he was going to die. I was just about to call the ambulance when he seemed to get quieter. In the morning he was shaky but better. What was it and why so sudden? Any ideas?
It could have been food poisoning, and the persistent vomiting emptied your stomach of the contents so that explains the settling of the patient after some hours. Continuous diarrhea & vomiting leads to fluid loss and electrolyte imbalance which can strongly lead to dizziness. I advise the patient should take ORS/fluids, a light diet like soup & get a stool culture done. Paracetamol can be taken or fever, tab. pantocid for stomach acid and tab. Emeset for vomiting and see the nearest doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
