What Causes Diarrhea When On Diet For Weight Control?
I have thyroids problems and started the diet without doing much research just base on the accomplishment of family and friends. Now I hear that I need to be careful because of my thyroid problem. I am taking Synthroid .200 and the droops and lost 11 lbs in 7 days; I am a little be scare but reading all your comments specially Dinah's I am getting confidence again. My only problem is that since the second day I am having diarrhea; is this normal? I can't get a doctor's opinion because I just lost my insurance . Can someone help me out. Thank you
Please check your TSH status again if in case you're taking a high dose of levothyroxine may cause diarrhea. Avoid cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli etcetera. Other possibilities like 1.Acute gastroenteritis 2. Food poisoning 3. Allergy etcetera. Use a soft diet to avoid spicy food and alcohol. Use a tablet Sporlac thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
