What Causes Diarrhea While On Prednisone?

My husband has has loose stools for the past week after taking prednisone for URI. He finished his prednisone tx 4 days ago. His pcp gave him lomotil in which was not effective. I told him that he may need abt tx like bactrim ds, or is it still a stomach flu?

Usually in URI some antibiotics are given too and they are usually the cause of diarrhea I woukd suggest that after stopping the antibiotics he should wait and watch what happens plus a diet with loads of fluids and fiber is advised.
