Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, about a month ago I received unprotected oral sex from a woman. Shortly after I was diagnosed with a UTI. Normally I became concerned and had STDs tests done. All came negative. Ever since the diagnosis of the UTI my stool has been somewhat liquidy. I received the antibiotics in order to resolve the UTI issue (the uti has been treated). Two weeks later I got beyond drunk, and ended up throwing up the same night. Naturally the day after I was hungover, but Now after 2 weeks the dizziness has not gone by. (Keep in mind my stool hasn t changed from the semiliquid form). I am concerned that it might be HIV since I have been tested for everything else but this.
Symptom panel and time span doesn't suggest HIV and it is very much unlikely to get HIV from oral sex. Usage of antibiotics can cause diarrhea or even stress can cause it. For your case, try antacids and probiotics for a week and problems may go away. Only after trying this only, any investigation is needed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jeevan Jayakumar, General & Family Physician
