What Causes Diarrhea While Suffering From Anxiety?
Well I m going to ask it. I ve had anxiety and it has brought on diarrhea for years. My Dr. has only gave me Xanax for the last 15 or 20 years, and that don t do anything but make me feel bad. So I don t take much of them anymore, maybe two a week of the 1%. Looks like they should be something out there I could take that would stop the diarrhea and keep me calm down a little. I was in business for years and sold out. Ever since I ve had a nervous stomach. Thanks for your time.
Anxiety disorder required very long treatment, especially when it is recurrent. You were prescribed Xanax for anxiety and took it for almost 20 years now. Xanax is given only during acute anxiety attacks and it doesn’t prevent further anxiety attacks. It has dependence potential also.
I would not recommend it stopping suddenly now as you can develop withdrawal symptoms. If I were your psychiatrist, I would have started you on Pexep for anxiety and Clonotril as and when required. You can take opinion on these medicines from your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Prashant Gohil
