General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it's good for your husband to increased stool frequency up to 3-4 per day as it will not lead to ammonia accumulation in the gut which can cause hepatic encephalopathy. But if the frequency is more, stool analysis and antibiotics may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
