Hi, I ve been experiencing loose motion with occasional bouts of stomach pain 2-3 times a day. This has been occurring for about 3 days. I just came from a long trip, so I am experiencing some jet lag and I ve taken a lot of naps because of the jet lag, but when I wake up, it feels like there s a burning in my chest, almost kind of like I m about to throw up. I think that s called acid reflux? Anyways, this has been going on for 3-4 days now. Can you help me?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of a jet lag, excessive sleeping, loose motions with stomach pains, burning in chest and feeling of about to throw up. This is most probably a mild gastroenteritis, I would advise you the following in such a situation: Consult a Doctor for clinical evaluation, examination, and few tests of stool and blood. Get a course of an antibiotic, P{PI like Omeprazole, Domperidone, antacid, probiotics and you may get well. If there is no improvement then only you can go for further studies and additional treatment.
