What Causes Diarrhea With Blood And Mucus Discharge In Infants?
Hello Doctor,Good Morning! My one and half year old son having loose stools since 4 days with little mucus and little reddish like blood. currently it is happening 6-7 times in a day.It do not foul smelling and no fever.Current medicine given is oflomac - M (Ofloxine and Mentronidazole).I do not see much improvement. Do in need to change the medicine.Please advice.

Discussion:- Such diarrhea may not need any treatment because this could be self limiting, if the course of given medicines is finish then no need to give any medicine again, care need to be taken for hydration.
Medication:-NA
Advise:- Care need to be taken for hydration and in persistence of symptoms stool should be examined for culture sensitivity.
Comments:- No need to worry about this.
