What Causes Diarrhoea,low Grade Fever,body Pain And Chills?

Female age 58, sudden diarrhea, followed by low grade fever, severe chills, severe body aches, weakness and then a rash. Located on arms and legs, a dozen or so red, slightly raised, itchy, 3m in size, Rash followed other symptoms less than 24 hrs later.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of diarrhea,low grade fever,body pain and chills which seems to be due to acute gastroenteritis which is due to viral infection. I would suggest you to take a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole and probiotic.

You should take Probiotics such as lactobacillus as well. Maintain hydration of status by taking plenty o fluids. You should take Ibuprofen to along with proton pump inhibitors as well. You should take curd in diet. Take paracetamol and plenty of rest for viral infection .

Start taking oral rehydration fluids sip by sip to maintain the hydration. Visit general physician once and get it examined. You should go for blood tests as well and start treatment after proper examination.
