What Causes Difficulty In Breathing While On Lisinopril?

have been on Lisinopril long time -----extreme difficulty breathing repeatedly taking deep breaths ---dr said it was all mental yet quit taking this and deep breaths have stopped ----is there a blood pressure med that will work without severe side effects

Hi,

These symptoms are not common with lisinopril, however, if you didn't feel well with this, there are a number of other drugs that can be used. Like amlodipine, telmisartan and a lot more. You can discuss this with your doctor. The best drug for hypertension is the one that controls BP and is tolerated.
