Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have started using my clap after a couple of months with nasal problems and I can t seem to catch my breath during the day even if I just go from one room to the other and wondered if it could be connected. I had a heart stress test about 18 months ago and it was normal. I also had a chest Cray which was also normal. I am a 59 year old male, non smoker. Any ideas please
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have difficulty in breathing . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like acid reflux , chest infection , sleeping apnea or cardiac problem .
The symptoms can also occur due to condition like asthma .I would suggest you to consult chest specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order chest x-ray , check vitals and blood test . Doctor may also order sleep study to rule out sleep apnea .
Doctor may refer you to gastroenterologist for acid reflux problem . Doctor may also recommend CPAP machine for sleep apnea . For now eat light and non spicy specially at night , take steam , take antacid after every meal and keep your head elevated while lying down . Doctor may also refer you to allergy specialist for asthma like condition .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
