What Causes Difficulty In Brisk Walking And Recurring Cramps In Feet?

Hi I have a question, why do I walk slow? It seems I have never been able to keep up with my daughter or other people. I am 5 2 and 125lb. Could it be feet problems? I have no pain but have been known to get cramps in my feet. It runs in my family. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for using healthcaremagic

There are different possible causes such as:(1) limitation of movement at the one of the joints - hip, knee, ankle

This can be assessed by your general doctor. He or she can inspect, palpate and move the joints to look for any reason there may be reduced movement.

Depending on examination findings, imaging may be needed.

(2) may be related to muscle strength and general physical fitness

(3) there are some persons who subconsciously move slower, it is not an intentional action. In this case a conscious effort would be needed to move faster.

I hope this helps
