What Causes Difficulty In Getting Pregnant In A Thyroid Disorder Patient?

I am nandini, age 25,i am patient of thyroid(TSH is little above 4.2 last test showed 4.86) ,but i am taking medicine so its normal, i m married for about year. We are trying for baby for about 10 months but not successful. Then i used ovulation kit but still not useful. Ovulation kit showed positive on 16 day of period we had intercourse same night , three times next day(i.e. 17 day of period) also. skipped 18 th day. then again had intercourse on 19th day. And this time we were very sure for pregnancy. But unfortunately period came on 33rd day(23-01-2016) while last period was on(22-12-2015). I took aerobics classes(3 hours everyday) continuously all these days.I have gone through normal blood test. Nothing diagnosed except very mild Thyriod. My husband also has gone through serum analysis, everything is fine. What could be the reasons for not getting pregnant after trying for 10 months. I take aerobics classes(3 hours a day), does that cause any problem in getting pregnant. Is having sex once everyday is more than sufficient? Or we should do sex on alternate days so that sperm counts maintained everytime. Should i consult gynaecologist. I want normal child, not medicine aided child.

Hello,
Thank you for your query.

I've gone through your query and understand your concerns.

Although within the normal range, I would recommend that your TSH be between 1 and 2.5.
This value has been shown to be optimal to conceive.
I would also recommend regular intercourse throughout the month instead of focusing only on ovulation time.
During the ovulation day and three days prior, intercourse at least every alternate day to once a day.
Use basal body temperature monitoring to confirm ovulation has taken place. The day before the temperature shift is when ovulation usually occurs.
So make sure you have intercourse on that day and the three days before.
Please try for another two to three months.
Try to stay calm and relaxed. (you and husband)

Take your folic acid supplements daily.
Moderate your exercise routine. Exercise is good but while trying to conceive, do so in moderation. We don't want the body to be too acidic (occurs in strenuous exercise).

Hope I've answered your questions.
Wish you conceive soon.
If you do not conceive within the next 6 months of regular well timed intercourse, see your gynecologist.
Take care
Wish you good health
