What Causes Difficulty In Locating Vein?
I went to doctors today and they needed to draw blood and couldn t catch a vein. They said they would roll away. I was an IV drug user for 5+ years. I have been clean for 3 years. Will my veins ever recover? What can I do to help my veins recover? Thanks,any info would be great

Why veins disappear:
In drug users , veins get irritated and inflamed by continuous drug injections and then inflammation cause them to get closed and disappear .
Will it recover:
The part of vein that has been destroyed never regenerate again but other small branches of vein get big to compensate the lost vein, so you will not have any problem but when some one is drawing blood the accessible veins have already disappeared so they feel problem , tell them that you veins are not present at conventional places so they can find some vein from leg or foot.
Start gym when your muscles develop your veins will also increase in size and number.
