What Causes Difficulty In Passing Stools Post Appendix Removal?

I had my appendix out 6 days ago. I am having trouble passing gas, and the only bowel movements I have are just liquid. It feels like the solids are getting hung up. I can t eat but just a bit or 2 and my stomach swells. Really want to have an actual bowel movement, or find out if I have blockage. I ve been taking laxatives, milk of magnesia, and magnesium citrite

Intestinal movements go sluggish after abdominal surgery that causes constipation. You have to get soap and water enema done. After stool is passed movements will start
