What Causes Difficulty In Speaking, Walking And Following Instructions?
I just found my 84 yr old friend very confused..yesterday fine. Difficulty with speech, able to walk, hand grasps good. I thought stroke immediately. No mouth drooping but unable to follow commands and speak normally. She lives in continuum care community. They moved her to infirmary. They think it might be a UTI. Do you have an opinion based on what I have told you?

Rule out UTI first. Does she have fever ? People in elderly age group can get delirious during infections like UTI. How is her level of orientation ?
