Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing Along With Belching?
I think I may have a hiatal hernia. The symptoms are like the ones I have looked up online. Difficulty swallowing, belching, coughing up clear phlem, and pain in my diaphram. This usually happens when I am eating. I am not able to finish my meal when this happens.
Hello dear I understand your concern Your symptoms could be due to the acid reflux, esophageal obstruction by web formation, mass in the stomach/esophagus , hiatus hearnia. I would suggest to consult the gastroenetrologist and undergo barium meal xray and or endoscopy to rule out the above causes. Meanwhile take following advises: Tablet esmoprazole 30 minutes before the meal Syrup mucine Tablet metoclopramide at the bed time Tablet gas-x Avoid heavy meal. Take small frequent meal Avoid spicy/fatty/oily food. Beta blocker and glucagon can be used under the advise of the gastroenetrologist. Do not go for bed immediately after meal. Hope this may help you
